    COOL TOPICS IN NEONATOLOGY

     March 1-3, 2019 - Friday, Saturday & Sunday

This is the 25th annual conference presented by the California Association of Neonatologists (CAN) and the AAP District IX Section on Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Following a keynote address by Dr. Alistair Philip celebrating 50 years of neonatology progress, a renowned group of speakers will address many of today's most important topics including, among others: advanced volume targeted ventilation, up-to-date strategies for prevention and treatment of bronchopulmonary dysplasia, the resurgence of congenital syphilis, and the many challenges in choosing appropriate drug therapies in neonates. Looking to the future, the conference will close with a presentation on the artificial placenta.

    Friday, March 1, 2019

The 2019 California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative (CPQCC) workshop titled "CPQCC at Cool Topics in Neonatology" will focus on reducing disparities in care for California's most vulnerable mothers and infants. Lessons from around the State of California will be shared with regard to disparities in the areas of maternal, neonatal and the transition to home.

    CPQCC: Target Audience

The California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative (CPQCC) workshop is geared toward multidisciplinary teams of caregivers from neonatal units that include: neonatologists, pediatricians, neonatal nurse practitioners, registered nurses with ancillary staff, as well as hospital risk management and quality improvement specialists who can implement change in the management of the topics presented.
